Season 5, Part 2 Returns Summer 2023

Jan 2, 2023

Well, Paramount+ did tease splitting “Yellowstone” season five into two parts earlier this year. While they remained relatively quiet about it after that, true to their world, during this Sunday’s episode—which turned out to be the mid-season finale— Paramount Network revealed a teaser announcing the much-anticipated return of “Yellowstone” is slated for Summer 2023.

The season finale ended in the way it looked like it was heading: Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley) betraying his adopted father, the Senator of Montana, John Dutton (Kevin Costner), again, this time by calling for his impeachment, and putting his life at risk in the process.
“Yellowstone,” the number one show on linear TV for nearly several years running now, chronicles the Dutton family, led by John Dutton, who controls the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States. Amid shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds, and hard-earned respect— the ranch is in constant conflict with those it borders – an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park.
Unless you’re living under a rock, you know the series is from Academy Award nominee Taylor Sheridan (“Wind River,” “Hell or High Water” and “Sicario”), who has built out an entire “Yellowstone” cottage industry on Paramount+ with shows like “1883” and “1923” which is airing now with Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren.
Season five features a critically-acclaimed ensemble cast including Oscar-winner Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, Brecken Merrill, Forrie Smith, Denim Richards, Ian Bohen, Finn Little, Ryan Bingham, and Gil Birmingham, with Mo Brings Plenty, Wendy Moniz, Jen Landon, and Kathryn Kelly upped to series regulars. The upcoming season will also feature the return of Josh Lucas as young John Dutton alongside Jacki Weaver, Kylie Rogers, and Kyle Red Silverstein, with Kai Caster, Lainey Wilson, Lilli Kay, and Dawn Olivieri joining the star-studded cast.
No firm date on season five, but summer 2023 it is for now. Watch the teaser below.
