The Amazing Spider-Man 3 Gives Andrew Garfield’s Hero A Happy Ending In New Poster
Sep 14, 2023
Summary
A fan poster for The Amazing Spider-Man 3 envisions a happy ending for Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man and Emma Stone’s Gwen Stacy as Spider-Woman. Spider-Man: No Way Home’s success and the popularity of the Spider-Verse franchise may have opened the door for The Amazing Spider-Man 3 to happen. Rumors of a potential Spider-Man 4 with Tobey Maguire suggest that Sony Pictures may be interested in continuing Garfield’s franchise as well, considering their past success.
A new The Amazing Spider-Man 3 fan poster imagines Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man movies ending on a happy note after The Amazing Spider-Man 2’s gruesome ending. While it seemed as if Garfield was done playing the web-crawler after 2014, 2021 saw the British star return to the role while sharing the screen with two other Spider-Men, played by Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire, respectively in Spider-Man: No Way Home. The Phase 4 became the highest-grossing of all Spider-Man movies while showcasing all three of the franchises.
Ever since Spider-Man: No Way Home, audience members have been actively campaigning on social media for Garfield to finally get his The Amazing Spider-Man 3, using the #MakeTasm3 hashtag as a way to show their support for the potential movie. Garfield has even talked about being open to star in a potential The Amazing Spider-Man 3 movie, under the right circumstances.
Following the reveal of Emma Stone’s new look, Pvilly_Artist recently created a fan poster for The Amazing Spider-Man 3, where the creator imagined her as an alternative version of Gwen Stacy, operating as Spider-Woman. The poster also sees her united with Garfield’s Spider-Man, essentially giving two heroes across the multiverse a happy ending.

Could The Amazing Spider-Man 3 Actually Happen?
Even though there are no concrete plans right now for The Amazing Spider-Man 3 to happen, Spider-Man: No Way Home has opened the door to that possibility. For the last few years, the Spider-Verse animated franchise has been one of Sony Pictures’ flagship properties, showing that audience members are absolutely invested in seeing the web-slinger’s multiverse adventures. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse even included a brief cameo of Garfield’s Peter through archival footage, showing that the Spider-Verse movies and the live-action films are connected to the same multiverse.
But what is also fueling the potential for The Amazing Spider-Man 3 is that Sony is rumored to be looking into doing a Spider-Man 4 with Maguire and Sam Raimi. While Sony Pictures have neither confirmed nor denied those reports, if they are indeed considering making another film with Maguire, it wouldn’t be shocking if they are also wanting to do something with Garfield again. This could be Sony Pictures’ way of wanting to wrap up Maguire and Garfield’s respective franchises after the major financial and critical success of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
With the Spider-Man property bigger than ever, both in live-action and animation, Sony Pictures would be leaving money at the table if they didn’t bring back Garfield down the line. Even if The Amazing Spider-Man 3 doesn’t happen, the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s ongoing Multiverse Saga could easily feature the return of Garfield, and even Garfield, in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. For now, though, the world will have to wait and see if Garfield ever gets his The Amazing Spider-Man 3 in the foreseeable future.
