The Flash TV Spot Unveils New Footage
Aug 5, 2023
The Flash is poised to be a monumental release for Warner Bros. Discovery as it ushers in the concept of the multiverse to the DC universe. With renowned director Andy Muschietti at the helm, the film is expected to revolutionize the DC franchise and signal the conclusion of the DCEU era. In a recently released TV spot, the studio teases several pivotal scenes from the movie, including the electrifying sight of Barry Allen sprinting through the speed force, Supergirl soaring through the skies, and Michael Keaton’s Batman. Check it out below.
The movie’s plot revolves around Barry Allen’s time-traveling journey to save his mother from being murdered, which has unintended consequences. The film has been in development for several years, with numerous directors and screenwriters attached to the project before Andy Muschietti took over. One of the most exciting aspects of The Flash movie is the return of Michael Keaton’s Batman, rumored to play a crucial role in the multiverse storyline, and Ben Affleck reprising his DCEU role as the caped Crusader. The film also stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen, Sasha Calle as Supergirl, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, and Antje Traue as Faora-Ul.

Ben Affleck Discusses Cut Scene Featuring Wonder Woman in The Flash
Warner Bros
Actor Ben Affleck recently appeared on the Smartless Podcast to promote his new movie Air, where he discussed his role in The Flash. Affleck is set to reprise his role as Batman for the last time in the movie, and he revealed that he believes his role in The Flash is his best work as the iconic superhero. Affleck went on to express how he finally figured out how to play the character after struggling with the portrayal. He also revealed fascinating details about a scene ultimately cut from the film. According to the actor, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman would have saved Batman with the Lasso of Truth, leading to a significant moment where Batman would reveal his “real” feelings.
“It’s my best s–t I have done as Batman! I finally figured out how to play the guy! I know I quit but I got it now! Like you do the audition and you are on your way home, you are like ‘No!’ I don’t want to give away any spoilers, but there was a scene where I got saved by Wonder Woman during a confrontation with some bad guys. She saves me with the Lasso of Truth, so what happens is that Batman divulges some of his real feelings about his life and his work. I was like ‘Wait a minute; I got it!”
It remains uncertain whether Gal Gadot will continue to portray Wonder Woman in future DC Universe movies. With the cancelation of Wonder Woman 3 and the announcement of a prequel featuring a younger version of the character, it is possible that a new actress may take on the role. Although Gadot’s cameo in Shazam! Fury of the Gods may mark the end of her tenure as Wonder Woman, there has been no official confirmation regarding the actress’s departure from the role.
The Flash has faced many delays and changes in production but is finally set to be released on June 16.
