Sep 22, 2023
A trio of Marvel superheroes must join forces in the latest look at the MCU sequel, The Marvels. Coming courtesy of Marvel Studios, The Marvels sees Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, and Iman Vellani unite for the first time, with the titular team-up tackling swapping places and dealing with another major threat to the universe. Check out the newly released trailer for The Marvels below.
“In Marvel Studios’ The Marvels, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence,” the official synopsis for The Marvels reads. “But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up to learn to work in concert to save the universe as ‘The Marvels.'”

Jackson, who reprises the role of Nick Fury. Seeing Captain Marvel unite with Ms. Marvel is sure to be an exciting sight to behold on the big screen, with returning star Brie Larson heaping praise on her co-star. “Iman is the future. She is the perfect Ms. Marvel and the most incredible person and cast mate,” Larson said. “A huge part of why I wanted to play Captain Marvel was because of Ms. Marvel and what that meant. To see that character realized by such a brilliant human with so much potential is just a really exciting thing.”
The Marvels is scheduled to be released in the United States on November 10, 2023, as part of Phase Five of the MCU. Following the likes of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the rest of Phase Five includes Deadpool 3, Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts, and the upcoming reboot of Blade. Phase Six meanwhile includes Fantastic Four and the Avengers sequels Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars.
However, with a strike by both SAG-AFTRA (The Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) and WGA (Writers Guild of America) now underway, we could very well see many of these pushed back. Of course, without the actors and writers none of this would even exist, so we are more than happy to be patient in the name of fair pay and fair treatment.
