Read Our Review
Robert Kirkman’s comic series Invincible was adapted by Prime Video and premiered in 2021. The adult animated superhero series traces the evolution of Mark Grayson (Yeun), an American teenager whose father, Nolan Grayson (J.K. Simmons), once held the reputation as the world’s greatest superhero, Omni-Man. Nolan has been disgraced after murdering The Guardians of the Globe, a superhero team defending Earth from alien forces, and getting into a destructive brawl with his son, Mark.
In Season 3, Mark is a 19-year-old adult who dons a new blue superhero suit, reinforcing his dark side and violent rage. The time jump also results in the maturation of Mark’s half-brother, Oliver Grayson (Convery), aka Kid Omni-Man. Unlike Mark’s human-Viltrumite heritage, Oliver is a Thraxan-Viltrumite hybrid, sharing DNA from his mother, Andressa (Rhea Seehorn), and father, Nolan.
Who Is Conquest in the ‘Invincible’ Comics?

Conquest is a 5,000-year-old Viltrumite alien who resembles a tall human man. Described as the second-most powerful Viltrumite warrior in the empire behind Thragg, the veteran soldier could be among the main antagonists in Invincible Season 3. Merciless and militaristic, the Viltrumite Empire seeks to eliminate every other race from the universe to ensure dominant control for the foreseeable future.

10 Animated Shows Like Invincible to Watch Next

From The Awesomes to The Venture Bros., here are the best animated shows like Invincible to watch next.

In keeping with the show’s satirical humor, Conquest hardly supports the Viltrumite philosophy of becoming the dominant race. Instead, Conquest has an insatiable bloodlust and a penchant for relentless combat. An unhinged maniac, the deranged sadomasochistic supervillain prefers fighting impossibly formidable foes that he knows will deliver massive damage to his body. As such, Conquest sports a large scar across his face, and his hand was severed during combat. In its place, Conquest uses a cybernetic arm as his main weapon.
While a master melee fighter, Conquest also possesses the Viltrumite’s trademark superpowers. They include superhuman speed, strength, stamina, durability, flight, rapid healing and regeneration, reverse aging, and near-invincibility. However, like all Viltrumites, Conquest is vulnerable to high-frequency noises that disrupt their equilibrium and disorient them.
Conquest’s Allies and New ‘Invincible’ Cast Members

Along with his superior, General Kregg, Conquest is allied with several new and old Viltrumite characters in Invincible. They include Emperor Argall, Anissa, Lucan, Thula, and Vidor. Conquest’s enemies include Nolan, Invincible, Kid Omni-Man, Atom Eve, Global Defense Agency (GDA) employees, Cecil Stedman, Donald Ferguson, and the Coalition of Planets leaders, Allen the Alien and Thadeus.
Beyond Conquest, several new characters make their debut in Invincible Season 3. Aaron Paul portrays Scott Duvall, aka Powerplex (above), Kate Mara voices Becky Duvall, Xolo Meriduena depicts Fightmaster and Dropkick, Bokeem Woodbine plays Director Radcliffe, and Kari Wahlgren portrays Knucklebuster.

Invincible Needs to Adapt This Darker Comic Arc in Season 3

Invincible Season 3 is expected to arrive in 2025, and several darker comic arcs could be adapted to continue the show’s violent tone.

Powerplex is a secondary villain hellbent on avenging Invincible for his sister Jessica’s death. Powerplex is aided by his wife, Becky, who vows to protect their son Jack and ensure he doesn’t suffer a fate similar to Jessica. Fightmaster and Dropkick are twin brothers sent to Earth from the future to take down a “madman,” which turned out to be the Immortal. As for Knucklebuster, she is a death-cult member who gets into a brutal fight with Cecil in Season 3, Episode 2, “A Deal with the Devil.”
Therefore, as Invincible wraps up Season 3, fans can expect Invincible and Kid Omni-Man to potentially battle Conquest, Powerplex, and the Viltrumite Empire. The superheroes must also contend with Director Radcliffe, Cecil’s former GDA mentor, who has since defected and become a villain. Invincible is streaming on Prime Video.
