Zach Bryan Responds to Object Thrown at Concert: ‘Don’t Throw Shit’

Nov 28, 2024

Zach Bryan has become one of the latest artists to have a concertgoer throw something at him onstage, and he fired back.

At the country singer’s Tacoma Dome concert in Washington this past weekend, a video shared by the Country Central Instagram account shows Bryan pausing his performance, alongside another guitarist, to address the crowd after an unidentified object was thrown at the stage, which hit the guitarist’s leg.

Bryan stopped playing, picked up the object and asked the audience, “Who threw this? Who was it? Does anyone know?”

The “Oklahoma Smokeshow” singer asked the audience a few more times to see if anyone would point out who threw the object. After no one did, he said, “Don’t throw shit at concerts, huh?”

Bryan continued, “And if you guys do know who threw it, you need to get ‘em outta here, if we ever find out who did it.” Then, he resumed the show.

While the incident is the latest in an ongoing series of people throwing things at performers that’s affected everyone from Harry Styles to Drake to Cardi B and Taylor Swift, Bryan has recently faced heat online for his treatment toward his ex-girlfriend, Brianna LaPaglia.

The singer announced via an Instagram Story on Oct. 22 that he and LaPaglia had ended their yearlong relationship. LaPaglia (aka “Brianna Chickenfry”) then alleged that Bryan had been emotionally abusive during their relationship in the Nov. 7 episode of the BFFs Podcast she co-hosts with Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards.

“He manipulated the fuck out of me,” she said. “I don’t expect people to understand emotional abuse if you haven’t been through it, and I hope you never have to go through it, but if you’ve been there, you know what I’m talking about. It was just this constant cycle of, ‘Build you up, beat you down, apologize,’ over and over and over.”

LaPaglia also alleged that Bryan and his team offered her $12 million to sign an NDA to not talk about their relationship.

Bryan has still not commented publicly on her claims, and LaPaglia called his silence “deafening” on the Nov. 13 episode of BFFs.
