We all know that the short series Hawkeye, which debuted during the holidays in 2021, starred the title character, played by Jeremy Renner, and Hailee Steinfeld, who portrayed Kate Bishop. They had great chemistry as a regular Joe-type superhero and his daring sidekick, a super fan of his with some badass skills with a bow and arrow. They played great off of one another, but one actress had her eye on the role as well, and as the runner up, we get to see Renner and Kathryn Newton star in a short screentest of the pair together that has been released.Newton obviously didn’t win the role, but she did go on to play Ant-Man’s daughter Cassie in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, so everything still seemed to work out for the actress.Check out the clip below:
