Jul 31, 2023

Sure, Marvel Studios and Disney had to imagine “Loki” was going to be a hit for the fledgling Disney+ streaming service when it debuted in 2021. Why else would they spend a ton of money to make it? However, what they didn’t expect was “Loki” to easily become the most-watched Marvel series on the streaming service. Needless to say, they couldn’t get Season 2 out fast enough.

As seen in the trailer for the long-awaited Season 2 of “Loki,” we see that the title character is once again teaming up with Mobius M. Mobius to save the timeline. After the events of Season 1, which saw the twist ending that seemingly resulted in Kang the Conquerer becoming ruler of the timeline, it appears Loki is now on a mission to fix what happened and get everything back to normal. There’s only one problem—Loki is “time-slipping” and traveling throughout the timeline without warning. Shenanigans will, no doubt, ensue.
Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, Rafael Casal, Tara Strong, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Neil Ellice, Jonathan Majors, Ke Huy Quan, and Owen Wilson. This season, Marvel Studios has enlisted a cadre of quality filmmakers to direct episodes, including Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead, Dan Deleeuw, and Kasra Farahani. If you’re a fan of sci-fi and mind-bending filmmaking, you gotta love the inclusion of Benson & Moorhead, right?
Season 2 of “Loki” debuts on Disney+ on October 6. You can watch the new trailer below.
