The Batman Part 2 Fan Trailer Teases the Joker’s Return
Aug 6, 2023
After the enormous success of the first movie and becoming one of the most acclaimed superhero productions of the last couple of years, The Batman – Part II is currently being worked on and is set to premiere in 2025. Robert Pattinson will again dress up as the Caped Crusader, with director Matt Reeves returning behind the cameras.
But of course, everyone’s wondering who the main villain will be. Paul Dano portrayed a unique interpretation of The Riddler, the antagonist of The Batman, but the movie also included many other enemies from the comics, such as The Penguin and Carmine Falcone. In the end, The Dark Knight nemesis made a brief appearance with Barry Keoghan interacting with Dano as the Joker.
The Eternals and The Banshees of Inisherin star is still unsure about his return, but fans want to see Pattinson facing his co-star in one of the most famous rivalries of all time.
And that’s precisely what a recent fan-made trailer of the sequel, created by Screen Culture, has to offer:

Everything We Know About The Batman Part 2
Warner Bros.
Next year, Colin Farrell will come back as Oswald Cubblepot in The Penguin spin-off show that will work as a continuation of The Batman and will also set up the sequel, so most of the plot details for the upcoming film will be given on the series.
Regarding the cast, the only confirmed members are Pattinson, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and probably Farrell. Besides them, it is unclear if other past cast members, such as Zoe Kravitz, will appear too.
The Penguin spin-off has added some exciting names to its cast, such as Cristin Miliot (Palm Springs), Michael Kelly (House of Cards), Shohreh Aghdashloo (The Expanse), Deirdre O’Connell (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind), and Clancy Brown (The Punisher), and might see some of them in the sequel.
Beyond Pattinson’s return, which will be part of the Elseworlds projects of the new DCU run by James Gunn, another Batman will debut in 2025 in The Brave and the Bold, which will see Bruce Wayne fighting crime along with his son Damian. This movie will be Gunn’s first step in introducing the whole Batfamily into the franchise.
As for the Joker, Joaquin Phoenix will reprise his role as the villain in the sequel next year, joined by Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn.
