Emma Corrin (The Crown) is set to play the villain in Marvel Studios’ Deadpool 3, and they will find themselves facing off with Ryan Reynolds’s Deadpool and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. For the first time, the actor has opened up about starring in the film, and it is something they are very excited about, but also confused because they don’t quite understand the world that they’re stepping into.During an interview with Empire Magazine, which was conducted before the actors’ strike and for their TV show A Murder at the End of the World, the actor said: “I feel really excited to play a villain. I haven’t done that, and it’s an itch I want to scratch.” Corrin went on to say that when they went in to meet director Shawn Levy for the project at Marvel, they had no idea what the meeting was for. “Absolutely nothing. Zilch.”Corrin explained to Levy that they are very confused by the MCU and would need a crash course on what in the hell is going on. They explained that the whole thing is an “absolute mindf—k.”“Hands up, I’m not a Marvel person. I’ve watched ‘Spider-Man’ and ‘Black Panther.’ I was like, ‘Look, you’re gonna have to debrief me into this.’ It’s such an intricate world. There’s so much to it, it’s an absolute mindfuck. All the language and the Easter eggs, and this person is related to that person who did this, and this person came back and this person’s dead… it’s amazing.”“I really understand why it means as much as it does to so many people. It’s a phenomenon, and I feel really lucky to be part of it. Especially ‘Deadpool,’ because I love the fact that it’s self-aware, and critical of its own inner-workings.”There are no details in regard to the story or who exactly Corrin is playing in the film, but we do know that the movie is going to be packed with all kinds of crazy cameos! It’ll be interesting to see how this story plays out! A lot of fans are very excited, though, especially after seeing Deadpool and Wolverine in his classic yellow suit fighting! Jennifer Garner will return as Elektra in the movie and there are reports that several other X-Men characters could appear such as Halle Berry as Storm, Famke Janssen as Jean Grey, and James Marsden returning to play Cyclops! There are also reports that Ben Affleck will be showing up in the movie as Daredevil and Channing Tatum appearing as Gambit. It was also previously reported that Deadpool 3 will feature more than two variants of Reynolds’ Deadpool and two variants of Wolverine.The movie is being directed by Shawn Levy, and the movie also stars Morena Baccarin and Stefan Kapicic as Vanessa and Colossus, Matthew Macfadyen in an unknown role, Karan Soni as Dopinder, and Leslie Uggams as Blind Al. They are joined by Brianna Hildebrand and Shioli Kutsuna will also return to the franchise as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Negasonic Teenage Warhead’s girlfriend Yukio.
