Disney+ Has More Delightful Animated Groot Shorts Coming In September

Aug 7, 2023

While James Gunn has officially moved onto DC Studios and put the “Guardians of the Galaxy” franchise behind him, that doesn’t mean you have to wait long to see more hijinks from one of your favorite characters. Season 2 of the Disney+ animated series “I Am Groot” is almost upon us.

As seen in the trailer for “I Am Groot” Season 2, the series once again goes back in time to when Groot was just Baby Groot, around the era of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,” and follows the small hero as he deals with all sorts of silliness out in space. Have you ever wondered if they have ice cream trucks out in space? Have you wanted to see Groot make a snowman? What about Groot wearing a human nose? Season 2 of “I Am Groot” has you covered. And if these new shorts are anything like Season 1, they are bound to be delightful fun for the entire family.
As you might have guessed, Vin Diesel returns as the voice of Groot for the shorts. Writer-director Kirsten Lepore, who did all of the first season’s episodes, returns for Season 2.
