David Corenswet, Jensen Ackles and Adria Arjona Become the DCU Trinity in New Fan Art
Oct 17, 2023
James Gunn already found the Superman of his DCU. David Corenswet will become the Man of Steel in Superman: Legacy, the first official DC Studios film that will mark an official new beginning for the comic company’s extended universe alongside Warner Bros. Discovery.
For now, the only projects that already have a known cast are Creature Commandos and the film starring Corenswet, which also has Rachel Brosnahan on board to play Lois Lane. That means there are still plenty of characters to cast, including two of DC’s biggest heroes alongside Clark Kent.
Batman has already announced his first movie in the new DCU, titled The Brave and the Bold, which will be directed by Andy Muschietti. And although James Gunn has already anticipated that there is still a long way to go to know who will be chosen one to play the new Bruce Wayne, fans are still looking for the perfect candidate.
Wonder Woman, for her part, still has no confirmed project within the future of the franchise beyond a series that will explore life on Themyscira, where the Amazons live. Additionally, Gunn has confessed he wants to bring Diana Prince back to the animated format, but has yet to greenlight any series or movies centered on the character. But once again, that doesn’t stop fans from looking for the actress who will take over the role.

David Corenswet, Jensen Ackles and Adria Arjona Look Like a Mighty Trinity
DC Comics
With Corenswet confirmed as the Last Son of Krypton, DC Studios has the difficult mission ahead of finding him two impressive companions to complete the famous trinity, something that is undoubtedly very important to fans. For this reason, artist @Youssef_Defenshi presented the newly elected actor along with Jensen Ackles and Adria Arjona:
Arjona already has experience in superhero movies, since in 2022 she starred in Morbius with Jared Leto, but there is no doubt that Wonder Woman would be a role that would require much more of her. However, the actress has already demonstrated her talent for action in films such as 6 Underground or the series from the Star Wars universe, Andor.
Ackles, for his part, has already been able to play The Dark Knight in animated projects such as Batman: The Long Halloween and in the upcoming Justice League: Warworld, and has also expressed his desire to bring the character to life in live-action, something much of the fandom is in favor of. The Supernatural star might seem a bit old in comparison to Corenswet or Arjona, but since Bruce Wayne will be introduced along with his son Damian, age might not be a problem in this case.
Another important character that DC Studios still needs to cast since it has already announced her solo movie is Supergirl. Sasha Calle was introduced as Kara Zor-El in The Flash, but no confirmation has been made about her future in the franchise and if there’s any chance of seeing her in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.
