Gen V has not yet received an official renewal for another season. However, there’s a glimmer of hope on the horizon as the show’s creative team has already assembled a writers’ room to brainstorm possibilities for the next installment. Set within the confines of Godolkin University, the series follows the journey of Marie, an 18-year-old superhero with the ability to manipulate and control her own blood. At this institution, young, aspiring heroes are subjected to rigorous tests of their physical and moral limits as they vie for the coveted top rank. However, beneath the surface, the university harbors dark secrets that force the students to confront the kind of heroes they aspire to be.
In an interview with The Wrap, showrunner Michele Fazekas expressed her optimism about the series, emphasizing their commitment to exploring what comes next.
“We do not have an official season to order yet,” she said. “We’ve gotten the writers together to talk about what’s possible. So we’re hopeful.”
Eric Kripke, the creator of The Boys, noted that Amazon Studios is closely monitoring the show’s performance and audience reception, highlighting that the fact that a writers’ room for a potential second season has been initiated is an encouraging sign.
“We need to see how the show performs, and we need to see if people are watching it, and if Amazon’s happy,” he said. “I mean, look, the fact that Amazon has paid for Michele to have a second season [writers] room is a good sign. So, you know, fingers crossed.”

“We wanted to get the writers started right away figuring out what Season 2 looks like. We wanted to take a moment and make sure the show had the reception that we were looking for. And in the first five days, we’ve been seeing incredible results, within the U.S., internationally. It’s 2023, and it’s in our top three most acquisitive shows. The show has just sort of taken off online, so we’re thrilled with what we’re seeing so far.”
The main cast of the series features talented actors in unique superhero roles.
