Early Reviews Praise Culprits for Being ‘Slick, Chic, and Blood-Soaked’
Hulu
Culprits has been met with much positivity from critics so far, and currently stands at a promising 86% on the review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes. Rebecca Nicholson of The Guardian heaped praise on the show for its pace, performances, and surprising depth.
“It is highly stylized and whips along at a pace; it looks great, and the cast is fantastic. In all its glossy richness, though, it also manages to sneak in a few intriguing horror-adjacent ideas that offer greater depth than you might expect.”
Jonathon Wilson of Ready Steady Cut, meanwhile, teased everything you could want from a crime show.
The entire season is a tangled knot of secrets, lies, crosses, double-crosses, hidden motivations, and unexpected turns.
Lastly, Emma Loffhagen of the London Evening Standard applauds the show as well: “Slick, chic and blood-soaked, Culprits is a triumph on every metric — it’s impossible to take your eyes off, even if you’re peering through your fingers.”
