And as seen in the newest trailer for “What If…?” Season 2, which is a little more than a week away, Marvel Studios is tying the new batch of episodes in directly with the approaching holiday. But let’s be real, outside of what appears to be one episode that may deal with Christmas, “What If…?” Season 2 is poised to be yet another multiversal jaunt that spans the entirety of the MCU to deliver new takes on beloved tales, as well as at least one entirely new hero created specifically for this series.
The first season of “What If…?” might not have been a monster hit for Disney+, but it did well enough to secure at least two more seasons of the series. Not only that, we did see some of the characters show up in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” which gave us Peggy Carter’s version of Captain America and the dark Doctor Strange. We’ll have to see if any of the new versions of characters from Season 2 will make the leap to live-action soon.
“What If…?” Season 2 debuts on December 22 with a new episode arriving daily after. You can watch the new trailer below.
Here’s the synopsis:
With a new episode debuting nightly beginning Dec. 22, season two of “What If…?” continues the journey as The Watcher guides viewers through the vast multiverse, introducing brand new and familiar faces throughout the MCU. The series questions, revisits and twists classic Marvel Cinematic moments with an incredible voice cast that includes a host of stars who reprise their iconic roles.
