During James Gunn’s casting process for Lois Lane in Superman: Legacy, Phoebe Dynevor was reportedly one of the three finalists up for the role of Lois, which ultimately went to Rachel Brosnahan.During a recent interview, the Fair Play star talks about her experience auditioning for the role and offered some insight on what this version of Lois Lane will be, explaining that “She saves Superman.” She told Variety:“It was a whirlwind and then I realized that it was over, but it was great. She saves Superman. She’s the brains; she’s actually the fearless one.”Having gone through the long audition process for Lois Lane, she definitely has some knowledge of what Gunn’s vision for the character is, and it sounds like it’s in line with other iterations of Lois that we’ve seen. The film also stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Michael Holt / Mr. Terrific, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, and María Gabriela de Faría as Angela Spica, aka The Engineer. There’s also Sara Sampaio, who has been cast as Eve Teschmacher, the assistant and sometimes mistress to the scheming villain Lex Luthor. Superman: Legacy will tell the story of “Superman’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas. He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.”Superman: Legacy will launch the movie part of DC Studios’ Gods and Monsters: Part 1. It’s scheduled for a theatrical release on July 11, 2025.
