What comes next for Beth and John? Fans of Amy Schumer’s “Life & Beth” have been waiting for that answer. The Hulu series makes its return next month but don’t expect easy solutions to the show’s difficult questions. The pair are coming to terms with their current relationship while managing expectations. For Beth, it’s a journey that looks to her past. Schumer gives the character added depth as she reflects on how many people face middle age.

As Beth and John’s relationship grows more serious, Beth begins to examine the possibilities of marriage and having a family as she and John seek answers for their communication problems. Is Beth’s traumatic history with men, and people she trusted from her youth destined to repeat itself? And what is triggering her fears? Beth does her best to keep her relationships alive while struggling to support friends and family who are all facing their own problems while entering their fourth decade.
Schumer stars alongside Michael Cera, Susannah Flood, and Violet Young. The series brings in a talented set of recurring guest stars including Kevin Kane, Yamaneika Saunders, Laura Benanti, Michael Rapaport, LaVar Walker, Sas Goldberg, Arielle Siegel, and Rosebud Baker. Kane is more than just a guest star: he’s also an executive producer on the project. The actor previously worked with Schumer on her series “Inside Amy Schumer.”
