Comedy Legend Heads To Europe March 8
Feb 5, 2024
For anyone who grew up with SCTV, it’s been incredibly heartening to see Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara hit stardom in their winter years thanks to “Schitt’s Creek.” Everyone who grew up with them knew they were superstars; it’s only that the world discovered them much, much later. Regardless, the success of that show has launched them both, and for Levy, it’s spawned his own travelogue show, “The Reluctant Traveler With Eugene Levy,” centered on his lifelong disinclination to travel and leave the comfort of his home.

In season one, the eight-episode series followed Emmy Award-winning actor Eugene Levy as he visited some of the world’s most beautiful and intriguing destinations in Costa Rica, Finland, Italy, Japan, Maldives, Portugal, South Africa, and the United States, exploring remarkable hotels and the places and cultures surrounding them.
After confronting some of his long-held fears in season one, season two pushes Levy out of his comfort zone again, this time pushing him on a “must-do” journey: a grand tour of Europe. Season two is seven episodes long and follows Levy as he makes his way from the very north of the continent to the very south. Along the way, he unearths stunning hidden local gems, discovers his family tree, and attempts to broaden his taste buds while experiencing the region’s most unique destinations along the way. Join him as he goes on the trip of a lifetime he never knew he needed.
Here’s the season two synopsis:
This season, Levy ventures even further off the beaten path, inspired to experience local practices and global escapades with friends both new and old, including preparing for Midsummer in Swedish tradition with a moose tracking adventure, visiting for the first time the land of his mother’s childhood – Scotland, dining with a luminary and taking a bite out of French cuisine in Saint-Tropez, embracing wellness with a ‘hay bath’ under German thatched roofs on the island of Sylt, voyaging on a Greek fishing expedition around Milos, learning medieval customs and harvesting grapes in Italy and playing soccer with a Spanish international player in Seville, Spain.
“The Reluctant Traveler With Eugene Levy” is produced for Apple TV+ by Twofour and is executive produced by Levy, David Brindley, Nic Patten, and Sara Brailsford. “The Reluctant Traveler With Eugene Levy returns for season two on March 8 on Apple TV+. Watch the new trailer below.
