One of the shining stars of the “Star Wars” Prequel Trilogy (even when it was originally released) is Mace Windu, played by the always-amazing Samuel L. Jackson. Unfortunately, Mace Windu’s fate is seemingly shown on screen, with many believing the character is long dead. Well, apparently not. Not only that, but Jackson is still ready for the character to get his long-awaited return. 
Speaking to Empire, Samuel L. Jackson talked about his desire to return as Mace Windu in an upcoming “Star Wars” project. Moreso, he would like to star in a Disney+ series, since they are throwing those around still, right? I mean, if “Obi-Wan Kenobi” can be a thing, why not “Mace Windu?”

Well, as mentioned above, there is the sticking point that Windu seemingly died during the Prequel Trilogy. Well, to that, Jackson has a short response.(Note: the all-caps is from the source, and not our editorialization.)
“HE’S NOT DEAD!!!” said Jackson.
He gave an even shorter, but just as direct reply when asked about the idea of Windu getting his own Disney+ series.
Jackson replied, “EVERYTHING YES!!”

Even though it would appear that Lucasfilm and Disney are probably going to be a bit more strategic (aka fiscally responsible) with their live-action “Star Wars” streaming offerings in the future, you can’t help but imagine money signs appearing in the eyes of Bob Iger at the thought of an Old Man Mace Windu series. The fact that Jackson is so adamant on wanting to play the character again shows his commitment to the idea. Then you have the nostalgia—something Lucasfilm loves to capitalize on. It really does seem like an obvious choice.
That said, who knows if it would ever happen. As mentioned, Disney and Lucasfilm are trying to tighten their purse strings quite a bit since every studio quickly realized that dumping a lot of money into their own streaming service might not be the infinite money machine they imagined it would be. Now, you have the newest season of “The Mandalorian” getting retrofitted into a live-action film coming next year, and no new series being announced in quite a while. 
But hey, Jackson is still a big name, and it could happen. And people would definitely watch.
