The season finale of Belgravia: The Next Chapter airs this Sunday, March 10th, and we have a sneak peek! The sequel series is set in 1871, three decades after Julian Fellowes’ 2020 hit show, Belgravia, and is a romantic and emotional family drama that fans of period pieces have latched onto. The eighth and final episode of The Next Chapter has Frederick grieving the loss of Clara, and Enright receiving a letter that pushes Frederick to confront his past. Meanwhile, Clara and Davison adapt to life in the North, as Clara grapples with happy memories of home.
In the above clip, Clara (Harriet Slater) finishes an emotional conversation with her sister, Emily (Hannah Onslow.) The scene then cuts to Frederick (Benjamin Wainwright) walking through Clara’s old room, now boxed up, before cutting back to the sisters. Hannah gives Clara a stack of letters from Frederick.
Helen Edmundson serves as creator, writer, and producer of Belgravia: The Next Chapter, bringing more focus to the women in the Trenchard and Dunn family (and their servants). The series stars Harriet Slater as Clara Dunn, Ben Wainwright as Lord Frederick, Toby Regbo as the Rev. James Trenchard, Hannah Onslow as Emily Dunn, Sophie Thompson as Mrs. Dunn, Richard Goulding as Oliver Trenchard, and a standout Alice Eve as Susan Trenchard. Gerard Horan stars as Mr. Enright, Liam Garrigan plays Fletcher, Elaine Cassidy is great as Davison, Clara’s maid, and Lauren McQueen stars as Nell.

Belgravia: The Next Chapter Is Set for an ‘Explosive Episode Eight’
The finale has certainly been set up well. As ScreenRant writes in their recap of episode seven:
“The multiple revelations and developments of
Belgravia: The Next Chapter
episode seven ensured the period drama’s protagonists would be in situations more chaotic than they have ever been,
setting up an explosive episode eight to conclude its first season
. Frederick and Clara both came out broken-hearted from the events of the episode, whether because of their relationship and inability to communicate or the multiple betrayals they suffered from people they trusted. Despite the multiple upheavals,
Belgravia: The Next Chapter
episode seven’s developments also made it all the more possible for Frederick and Clara to potentially reconcile in the season finale.”
