Eva Longoria Stars In Apple TV+’s New Comedy Series

Last year was a big year for Eva Longoria. 2023 saw the release of her feature film directorial debut, “Flamin’ Hot.” The film actually earned solid reviews and established Longoria as a legit filmmaker. Now, she is stepping in front of the camera for her next project, “Land of Women.”

As seen in the trailer, “Land of Women” tells the story of a woman who must flee the country with her mother and young daughter. This is because her husband is involved with some shady people and there is the potential for violence. So, the three ladies end up going to Spain and hilarity ensues.
The new series stars Eva Longoria, Carmen Maura, Victoria Bazúa, and Santiago Cabrera. “Land of Women” is created by Ramón Campos, Gema R. Neira, and Paula Fernández and is directed by Carlos Sedes. The series is based on the novel “La Tierra de las Mujeres” by author Sandra Barneda.
“Land of Women” debuts on Apple TV+ on June 26. You can watch the trailer below.
Here’s the synopsis:
Land of Women stars Eva Longoria as Gala, a New York empty nester whose life is turned upside down when her husband implicates the family in financial improprieties, and she is forced to flee the city alongside her aging mother (Maura) and teenage daughter (Bazúa). To escape the dangerous criminals to whom Gala’s now vanished husband is indebted, the three women hide in the same charming wine town in northern Spain that Gala’s mother fled 50 years ago, vowing never to return. The women seek to start anew and hope their identities will remain unknown, but gossip in the small town quickly spreads, unraveling their deepest family secrets and truths.
