According to Deadline, ‘SNL’ alum Tim Meadows has joined the cast of “Peacemaker” Season 2. In the series, he’s set to play A.R.G.U.S. agent Langston Fleury. Not much is known about the second season of the show other than it will, once again, feature the adventures of the title character, an anti-hero who believes that peace should come at any cost, even if that means murdering people.
In addition to his work on ‘SNL,’ Meadows has been a regular fixture on TV and film over the years. He recently starred in projects such as “Mean Girls” (2024), “Dream Scenario,” “I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson,” and “Poker Face.”
The report also claims that veteran filmmaker Greg Mottola is set to direct some of the episodes. Mottola is no stranger to TV, having recently directed episodes of the acclaimed FX series, “Dave.” In film, his most recent feature was 2023’s “Confess, Fletch.” He’s definitely a filmmaker known for his comedic prowess, which fits perfectly with “Peacemaker.”
It’s unclear when we might see “Peacemaker” arrive on Max. Production has yet to begin, and you have to assume that it won’t start until James Gunn finishes principal photography on “Superman,” which is still filming. At this point, we likely won’t see “Peacemaker” Season 2 until after “Superman” debuts on July 11, 2025.
