The End Begins For Taylor Sheridan’s Hit Series On November 10
Jun 21, 2024
Mark your calendars, “Yellowstone” fans: Taylor Sheridan’s hit family crime/drama show returns to the Paramount Network on November 10. The first of six episodes left in the show’s final season premiere on that date in the US and Canada. Then, later that month, the final season will premiere in Latin America, France, and Brazil.

It’s a bittersweet end to the highly popular show, as star Kevin Costner remains at odds with Sheridan and the “Yellowstone” creative team, and it seems like the series started shooting without him while he was in Cannes. The acrimony between the two parties over the show’s end and future is well-documented: a two-year back-and-forth that’s seen Costner claim he initially signed on for seven seasons and still wants to make at least one more before the show shudders for good. Whether any of that happens is up in the air. Costner has his “Horizon” film saga to continue, with the first chapter hitting theaters on June 28, so he may be too busy for more “Yellowstone.” Meanwhile Sheridan has his several “Yellowstone” spinoffs, “Mayor Of Kingstown,” “Special Ops: Lioness,” and “Landman” to deal with. Oh, and there’s “Empire Of The Summer Moon,” Sheridan’s return to directorial features, all of which suggest Sheridan wants to move on creatively.
Here’s a brief synopsis of “Yellowstone” for those unfamiliar with the series, courtesy of Paramount:
Yellowstone chronicles the Dutton family who controls the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States. Amid shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds, and hard-earned respect – the ranch is in constant conflict with those it borders – an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park.
Stay tuned for an official cast list for “Yellowstone” Season 5 Part Two, but rest assured that most/all series regulars from Part One return. Sheridan co-creates the series with John Linson. He also leads executive producers with Linson, Art Linson, Costner, David C. Glasser, Bob Yari, Stephen Kay, Michael Friedman, Christina Voros, and Keith Cox.
As noted earlier, “Yellowstone” Season 5 Part Two premieres on the Paramount Network on November 10. Watch a brief teaser for the show’s final season (if it indeed is the final season) below.
