Kathryn Hahn’s Coven Of Witches Hits Disney+ In September
Jul 8, 2024
Once tilted, “Agatha: House of Harkness,” then retitled, “Agatha: Coven of Chaos,” then changed again to “Agatha: Darkhold Diaries,” and finally, one day before the final announcement, “Agatha: The Lying Witch,” Marvel played a long-game joke on its fans, as the Agatha Harkness mini-series was revealed to be titled, of course, it was “Agatha All Along.”
A sequel spin-off series to 2021’s “WandaVision,” which first introduced the Agatha Harkness witch character played by Kathryn Hahn, “Agatha All Along” was created by the same showrunner/producer Jac Schaeffer who will also act as its head writer and director.

The show’s title comes from the famous earworm song written by Academy Award-winning composers Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, who wrote all the music for “WandaVision.” While Christophe Beck is now the composer for the Agatha series, Anderson-Lopez and Lopez have returned to write songs for the series.
Set after the events of “WandaVision” where Agatha was stripped of her powers by Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), she looks to some unlikely allies, a coven of witches, to join her on her quest to regain her former powers.
On top of Hahn as the lead, the series co-stars Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Patti LuPone, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Debra Jo Rupp, and Miles Gutierrez-Riley. Additionally, Maria Dizzia and Okwui Okpokwasili have been cast in undisclosed roles. Sacha Baron Cohen has been strongly rumored to appear as the Marvel devil Mephisto. A copyright filing revealed that Cohen was set to appear in Marvel’s “Ironheart” series coming in 2025, but it’s been heavily rumored that he’ll appear first in ‘Agatha.’ Time will tell.
With nine episodes in total, “Agatha All Along” is set to premiere on Disney+ on September 18, with its first two episodes. Schaeffer, Gandja Monteir, and Rachel Goldberg are the series’ directors. The other seven episodes will be released weekly until November 6. Watch the first teaser trailer below.
