Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery is one of the most talked about films of 2022. Following the phenomenal success of Knives Out, expectations were been sky-high, especially with the success of the first film.  Janelle Monáe stars in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery and discusses the details about her character(s) in the film. Director Rian Johnson scheduled regular mystery parties of a game of Mafia for the cast while filming. I got a chance to speak with Janelle as part of the African American Film Critics Association roundtable series. I ask Janelle to share a bit about those parties and if she was ever the killer! It is a standalone sequel to the 2019 film Knives Out, with Daniel Craig reprising his role as master detective Benoit Blanc as he takes on a new case revolving around tech billionaire Miles Bron (played by Edward Norton) and his closest friends. The ensemble cast also includes Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson, and Dave Bautista.
