Great Trailer For The Boxing Drama DAY OF THE FIGHT Starring Ron Perlman and Michael Pitt — GeekTyrant

Aug 29, 2024

Here’s the trailer for an upcoming boxing drama film titled Day of the Fight, which stars Ron Perlman, Michael Pitt, Joe Pesci, and Steve Buscemi. This seriously looks like an incredible film! I was very much moved by this trailer. In the film, “On the day of his first fight since leaving prison, Mikey (Pitt), a once celebrated boxer, takes a redemptive journey through his past and present, putting his own life at risk due to a medical condition only he knows about. “Over the course of the day, Mikey visits influential figures from his life, encouraging him to overcome his checkered past. After a fight for the ages at Madison Square Garden, a twist of events reveals that this day was never really about boxing for Mikey.”The film is described as an “underdog story built on introspection, self-sacrifice, and forgiveness which asks the question: how far are we willing to go for the ones we love?”The movie was written and directed by Jack Huston, who talked about the film, saying: “I am filled with such immense gratitude to bring Day of the Fight to theaters this fall. “It was my goal to make something honest and relatable about the complexities of life that asks the eternal question – how far are we willing to go for the ones we love. “I was blessed to have worked with the most incredible cast, who brought these characters to life with such passion, anchored by Michael C. Pitt’s achingly beautiful performance. As well as a crew whose hard work and tenacity shows in every frame.” He added: “I’ve loved every second of making this movie and I am beyond excited to share it.”The looks like a great film worth watching and it’s set to be released on November 15th, 2024.
