Brat Fall? Charli XCX Confirms Remix Version of Pop Album
Sep 13, 2024
Don’t worry, everyone — Brat fall is coming. British bop-maker Charli XCX has announced a new version of her widely popular album, out on Oct. 11.
“Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat,” the musician posted to her X account Thursday, confirming link-ups with Troye Sivan on Brat tune “Talk talk” and Lorde on “Girl, so confusing.” Billie Eilish will feature on “Guess,” Robyn and Yung Lean on “360” and Addison Rae on “Von dutch.”
The album will include a second disc with the original album and its three bonus tracks.
Critically acclaimed pop album Brat has defined a genre of music for the entirety of this summer, with Kamala Harris’ team even adopting the meme-ified trend and accompanying music to appeal to younger voters in the upcoming U.S. election.
The domination of the cultural zeitgeist began when Brat originally released on June 7, flooding social media feeds with that familiar lime-ish green.
The album has since been nominated for the Mercury Prize 2024 as the star embarks on her biggest-ever headline shows in arenas throughout the U.K. in November and December.
She will team up with longtime collaborator Aussie singer Sivan for their highly anticipated co-headline U.S. arena tour, Charli XCX & Troye Sivan Present: Sweat, which kicks off this weekend and includes appearances at Madison Square Garden and Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
