A couple of months ago it was reported that that Pom Klementieff, who played Mantis in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, was said to be in talk to join James Gunn DCU as a specific character. The actress shared at the time they have been talking about “one specific character for her.I just want to keep working with James, so we’re going to keep trying to find ways to do that. Yes, we’ve been talking about one specific character, but I can’t talk about that right now.”It is now being reported by Hollywood scooper MTTSH that the character she is in talks to play is Helena Bertinelli, aka the Huntress, although it is noted that other roles have also been discussed.It’s not hard to imagine Klementieff as Huntress. It seems like the kind of role that she will be able to easily slip right into. Last year, another rumor made the rounds online that DC Studios was developing a Korean-language movie featuring the Huntress as part of the DCU’s “Chapter 2” slate, and it was also reported that South Korean filmmaker and screenwriter Jung Byung-gil (Action Boys, The Villainess, Afterburn) was in talks to write and direct.None of that has been confirmed, though.
