SyFy Cancels CHUCKY Series After Three Seasons and Don Mancini is “Heartbroken” — GeekTyrant
Oct 3, 2024
Don Mancini’s Chucky series has been canceled by SyFy and USA Network after three fun seasons. The news comes four months after Season 3 aired its finale.Mancini had plans to continue the series with a fourth season and was looking forward to continuing the show. He previously said that he had pitched a fourth season, saying that “it’s something I really like to do.” That sparked a #RenewChucky campaign that saw fans expressing their support for Season 4. Unfortunately, that didn’t work, and the show and the show has been murdered by the network. As you might imagine, Mancini is heartbroken. He said in a statement: “I’m heartbroken over the news that Chucky won’t be coming back for a fourth season, but am so grateful for the killer three years we did have.“I’d like to thank UCP/Syfy/Peacock/Eat the Cat, our awesome cast and Toronto-based crew (the best in the business), and finally, to our amazing fans, a big bloody hug. “Your incredible #RenewChucky campaign really warmed Chucky’s cold heart. Chucky will return! He ALWAYS come back.”While we won’t be getting a fourth season, I imagine that we haven’t seen the last of Chucky. This killer doll will never die! I’m sure in a few years Mancini will make another movie for the fans. Several months ago Mancini did say, “I’m also actually in the early stages of working on a new Chucky movie.”Chucky, the series, follows the murderous escapades of the notorious killer doll. Chucky crosses paths with archenemies, old allies and new prey, as he seeks to inspire fear and mayhem wherever he goes.Did you enjoy the Chucky series and bummed out that it’s been canceled?Source: Deadline
