Michelle Yeoh’s Phillipa Georgiou steps out of the shadows, ready to conduct the dirty deeds of Starfleet in a bright and striking new poster for Star Trek: Section 31, alongside confirmation of the release date. Spinning out of the events of Star Trek: Discovery and helmed by Olatunde Osunsanmi, Star Trek: Section 31 sees the former Emperor of the Mirror Universe’s Terran Empire joining the clandestine arm of Starfleet after her season 3 appearance, ready to make amends for past deeds. The movie is expected to release on Paramount+.
As Star Trek has warped to New York Comic-Con, the release date for Star Trek: Section 31 has finally been unveiled during the event alongside a new poster. Paramount+ confirmed that the movie will be released on the streaming service on January 24, 2025, globally. The teaser poster is simple, but striking, as Georgiou is seen against a simple lime-green background, with a purple hue helping her stand out even more. Georgiou is seemingly dressed in primarily dark clothes perfect for covert operations, including a large duster coat.

While not much has been revealed by the new teaser artwork, the poster does offer a new glimpse at a costume that perfectly evokes the tone of the series. Georgiou’s uniform complements the spy thriller and the noir genre, while its lack of notable Starfleet iconography makes it perfect for Section 31’s dark deeds.
