MCU Concept Poster Features Billy Maximoff’s Wiccan as a Young Avenger
Oct 29, 2024
While WandaVision may have introduced fans of the MCU to Billy Maximoff, it was Agatha All Along that solidified him as a force to be reckoned with. Regardless of fan speculation of whom the character would ultimately be revealed as, Billy’s journey on Agatha began as a mystery teen. However, episodes 5 and 6 revealed the jaw-dropping truth about his identity, setting the stage for a powerful future in the MCU.
After the end of the trial intended for Agatha in episode 5, Billy’s powers could no longer be contained, fully revealing himself to be the son of Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlett Witch. The possibilities are endless for Billy if he’s able to successfully walk the Witches’ Road and locate his brother Tommy. A digital artist on Instagram has pondered what ifs regarding Billy, creating a fan art depiction of him as one of the seven Young Avengers.
The proposed team of Young Avengers with Billy at the helm would include, Ms. Marvel, Kate Bishop, Cassie Lang, America Chavez, Kid Loki and Ironheart. The potential of this team could significantly rival the original group of Avengers, making them an unbeatable force against any foes in their way. With a Young Avengers movie down the line still a possibility, the inclusion of Billy seems like a no-brainer following the ratings success of the series.
Could Billy’s Journey Lead To A Full Family Reunion?
While a Young Avengers appearance featuring Billy aka Wiccan would be great for the team and add a powerful ally to the group, for now, the character’s focus is on his family. After uncovering his true identity, Billy’s primary goal is to uncover what happened to his brother, Tommy. Those familiar with the comics know that Tommy also found himself reincarnated as another person, so answers are likely to be found at the end of the Witches’ Road.

With a Scarlett Witch movie rumored to be in the works and a Vision TV series in development, the events of both WandaVision and Agatha All Along could lead up to a massive family reunion. If Billy can somehow find Tommy, it’s possible their combined powers will be enough to try and bring Wanda and Vision back to life. Fans on social media are also thinking this to be true as well, with one user on X, tweeting, “so billy is definitely gonna ask for tommy and that will set up young avengers and then they’ll find wanda.” This speculation coincides with the latest MCU rumors about how Agatha All Along connects to the grander cinematic universe.
Starring Kathryn Hahn as the titular Marvel witch, Agatha All Along reveals how Scarlet Witch’s enemy broke Wanda Maximoff’s binding spell at the end of WandaVision. Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Emma Caulfield, and Ali Ahn join Hahn in the MCU Phase 5 spinoff series, released on Disney+.Release Date September 18, 2024 Number of Episodes 9 Franchise(s) Marvel Cinematic Universe
