“Young women of color are typically not the stars of TV shows, at least when I was growing up, and to be able to do two of them and feature so many, particularly South Asian actors on ‘Never Have I Ever,’ is a gift,” she told the outlet. “It’s also this big responsibility, obviously to make sure that we’re doing a good job, and it feels really authentic.”Previous seasons of ‘Girls’ featured a host of talented performers, this upcoming run is no different. Series regulars for the upcoming season include Pauline Chalamet, Amrit Kaur, Alyah Chanelle Scott, Christopher Meyer, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino, Renika Williams, Gracie Lawrence, and Mia Rodgers. Chalamet came to the attention of critics with her performance in the 2021 short film “Adulting.” It would see her win several awards for the role of Marion.
