Fallout Season 2 is enlisting another familiar face with the announcement that Macaulay Culkin has been added to the cast roster for the new run of episodes. While there is still much to be discovered about the second season of the video game adaptation, Deadline reported that Culkin will have a recurring role in the show as a “crazy genius-type.”

Fallout continued the current run of successful video game adaptations that has includes HBO’s The Last of Us, and the Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Mario Bros. franchises. After dominating Prime Video for weeks earlier this year, fans have been eagerly awaiting more information on what is to come in the new season. So far, we know that Season 1 stars Ella Purnell, Walter Goggins, Aaron Moten, and Kyle MacLachlan will all be back, and there have been several rumors that Breaking Bad and Westworld star Aaron Paul is keen to be the next person added to the show.

However, beyond these small details, Prime Video have to officially confirm…well, everything else about the series’ continuation. While Season 1 ended with a teasing look at the familiar location of New Vegas, how much of the next chapter will be based there is something fans need to wait a little longer to find out.

Fallout’s Creative Team Have Dropped Some Tantalizing Teases

Of course, there were plenty of interviews completed towards the end of Fallout’s first season for some things about Season 2 to be mentioned fleetingly by the likes of co-showrunner Graham Wagner and executive producer Jonathan Nolan, as well as some hopes from star Ella Purnell as to where her character, Lucy, will go next.

Wagner and Nolan both hinted at the expansion of the Fallout world in Season 2. Wagner addressed the possible appearance of a major creature playing a part in the next episodes. He previously said, “We wanted to get Deathclaws, but we didn’t want to just throw it away. It’s such a monumental piece. We want to save something for Season 2 to be able to do it properly, not just add on to the massive world-building we had to do already in Season 1.”

Nolan backed this up by sharing his excitement at having the chance to expand on what was shown in the first season. He said:

“There are more monsters, more environments, more factions that we are currently designing and building right now to begin production quite soon. So we’re really excited.”

Purnell, in her continuation as Lucy, knows that there is a big change coming for her character, and it is something that audiences are going to see happen in the new season. She previously shared:

“I want the audience at the end of the show to wonder if their hero is still a good person. I don’t know who she’s gonna be in season two, [but] this is what happens when you break the unbreakable. I don’t know who she’s about to become.”
