Dec 7, 2024
Taylor Swift‘s new book has achieved a massive debut.
Target Corporation announced Friday that the singer’s official Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour Book, which is available exclusively at Target, has sold nearly one million copies in its first week and highest-selling week one new release print book of 2024 to date and the fastest-selling new release book of the last four years. The Eras Tour book is also the highest-selling book in the music category since Circana began tracking two decades ago.

Swift’s Eras Tour Book, which chronicles her record-breaking tour from start to finish throughout 256 pages, was released in Target stores nationwide on Black Friday. The book includes over 500 images showing never-before-seen performance photos as well as exclusive rehearsal photos and behind-the-scenes images of instruments, costumes, set pieces and the tour’s designer sketches. Swift also penned personal reflections and notes about the tour for the book.
In addition to the book, Target released the Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology for the first time on CD and vinyl.
“We knew the release of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour Book and The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology would be a huge, huge moment for Target shoppers and Taylor Swift fans everywhere, but seeing the record-breaking response unfold over the last week has been an absolute thrill,” Rick Gomez, executive vice president and chief commercial officer, Target said in a statement. “I’m incredibly proud of Target’s partnership with Taylor and the way our teams worked together to make this year’s Black Friday and Cyber Week unforgettable for so many people.”
The book marks another celebration of Swift’s two-year-long tour. Last year, the singer released a concert film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, which amassed $250 million at the box office and stands as the highest-grossing concert movie in history. Swift and her team self-financed the $15 million film.
The film was among the movies nominated for the first-ever award for best cinematic and box office achievement at the Golden Globes. (Greta Gerwig’s Barbie was the inaugural winner.)
The final shows of Swift’s Eras Tour will take place in Vancouver on Dec. 6-8.
