The Hit Show Returns in February

Dec 7, 2024

Can the former WHS Yellowjackets ever escape the past? Season three of Paramount+ with Showtime’s acclaimed series “Yellowjackets” follows yet another chapter in their story, still revealing details of that fateful time away from civilization. Viewers last saw the remaining members try to perform a new ritual but the results turned tragic. Their fates are hanging in the balance and nothing is truly as it seems. The upcoming season promises to be even more interesting thanks to the addition of two-time Academy Award-winning actress Hilary Swank and “Community” star Joel McHale. Swank’s previous TV work includes the 2022 drama “Alaska Daily.”

“Yellowjackets” season three sees Emmy nominees Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, and Lauren Ambrose once again lead the cast. Tawny Cypress, Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Courtney Eaton, Liv Hewson, Steven Krueger, Warren Kole, Kevin Alves, Sarah Desjardins, and Simone Kessell also star. The series additionally features Elijah Wood’s return in a recurring role.
The series’ official synopsis:
Created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson (Narcos), YELLOWJACKETS is the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over.
