Sony Developing Series Adaptation of the Fantasy Book Series FROM BLOOD AND ASH — GeekTyrant

Dec 25, 2024

Sony is developing a series adaptation of Jennifer L. Armentrout‘s fantasy books From Blood and Ash. This will be an ongoing series that will adapt the five books that have been written. The five books include From Blood and Ash, A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire, The Crown of Gilded Bones, The War of Two Queens, and A Soul of Ash and Blood. There’s a sixth book coming out next year titled The Primal of Blood and Bone. The book series follows Poppy, “whose life has never been her own since being chosen at birth to usher in a new era. Waiting for the day of her Ascension, she would rather be with the guards, fighting back the evil that took her family, than preparing to be found worthy by the gods. But the choice has never been hers.“The entire kingdom’s future rests on Poppy’s shoulders. And when Hawke, a golden-eyed guard honor-bound to ensure her Ascension, enters her life, destiny and duty become tangled with desire and need. “Poppy is not only on the verge of losing her heart and being found unworthy by the gods but also her life when every blood-soaked thread that holds her world together begins to unravel.”Sony Pictures is hoping that this series will expand in the same way as its Outlander series and also be as successful. Outlander will come to an end after eight seasons, but the franchise will continue with the prequel series Outlander: Blood of My Blood.Source: Deadline
