’s reported self-comparison to Game Of Thrones
character Khaleesi in a text to Justin Baldoni
has not received the greatest reaction from social media users. Baldoni’s supporters have branded the actress “power-drunk,” while GoT fans have pointed out the many flaws in the comparison considering her stance as the victim in the ongoing lawsuit between the It Ends With Us costars.
The escalation of the complaints by Lively and Baldoni, with each accusing the other of being guilty of various charges including harassment, degradation, emotional distress, and defamation, has taken little time to reach an almost gutter-level with the release of snippets of data that have made their way into the public arena for scrutiny and reaction from anyone interested in the controversy.
The latest headline-grabbing instalment came in the wake of Baldoni’s $400 million lawsuit brought against Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds, and saw Baldoni’s lawyer including a copy of a text message said to have been sent to the actor from Lively, which reads:

“If you ever get around to watching Game of Thrones, you’ll appreciate that I’m Khaleesi, and like her, I happen to have a few dragons. For better or worse, but usually better. Because my dragons also protect those I fight for. So really we all benefit from those gorgeous monsters of mine. You will too, I can promise you.”

The message was part of the 179-page filing made on January 16, and came with the follow-up statement that while filming It Ends With Us, Baldoni felt he was “facing Lively’s ‘dragons,’ two of the most influential and wealthy celebrities in the world, who were not afraid to make things very difficult for him.” These “dragons” are said to take the form of Reynolds and Taylor Swift.

The reaction to this has sparked up the continuous online dissection of the case between Lively and Baldoni, which still has many months left to run. Just as Lively’s filing saw her fans rushing to support her in the wake of the horrifying claims made against her costar and director, this latest update has turned X/Twitter into a playground for Baldoni’s supporters, but also Game of Thrones fans who believe that the comparison with Emilia Clarke’s Daenerys Targaryen is one that Lively did not really consider the full implication of.

As one user put it, “Blake Lively called herself “Khaleesi” from Game of Thrones and basically threatended Justin Baldoni with her “dragons” (famous peeps Ryan Reynolds & Taylor Swift… This woman is a delusional pompous menace.”
Another added what many GoT fans reminded everyone, saying, “Blake Lively saying she is Kahleesi is not the flex she thinks it is because have we forgotten Kahleesi /Danerys was a psychopathic women who torched an entire city?”
