‘Agatha All Along’ Showrunner Won’t Do Another Season & Turned Down ‘WandaVision’ Season 2

Jan 28, 2025

If you watched the end of Marvel Studios’ “Agatha All Along,” you know the series left open the door for another season. Well, according to one of the stars of the series, a Season 2 isn’t in the cards.

Speaking on “Andy Cohen Live,” “Agatha All Along” star Patti LuPone talked about the fact that there won’t be a Season 2, even though she was hoping it would happen. Apparently, creator-showrunner Jac Schaeffer isn’t interested in doing another season of her shows, including the previous one, “WandaVision.”
“There won’t be one,” LuPone explained. “Jac Schaeffer, the creator, came into my trailer and she said, ‘Patti, I’m just here to tell you that Lilia’s going to die,’ and I went, ‘But I wanted a second season.’”
She added, “[Schaffer] said, ‘I don’t do second seasons.’ She said, ‘They wanted me to do a second season of ‘WandaVision’ and I didn’t.’ She said, ‘There’s too much to write,’ so she does one-offs and I’m really hoping and praying that someday I get to work with her again because she’s magic.”

Now, just because “Agatha All Along” isn’t continuing, that doesn’t mean the story is dead. In fact, there are many who are speculating that Billy Maximoff could be seen in a “Young Avengers” project. And if that happens, perhaps Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha could show up in that. Not only that, but Marvel Studios is doing a “Vision Quest” series, which would serve as a sequel to “WandaVision” in much the same way as “Agatha All Along” does.
All that to say, even though we’re not getting second seasons to two of Marvel Studios’ biggest TV hits, that doesn’t mean the characters won’t be continuing on. We’ll just have to keep an eye out for them.
