How do you solve a mystery when everyone’s a suspect? It’s a question facing Detective Cordelia Cupp in ‘The Residence.” Cupp’s facing murder at the White House and 157 suspects in this upcoming Netflix series. The Shondaland project is inspired by Kate Andersen Brower’s book of the same name — with Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers serving as executive producers. It hails from creator, showrunner, writer, and executive producer Paul William Davies.

Murder brings together intriguing characters to “The Residence.” The Shondaland mystery series premieres March 20 on Netflix. Get your first look at the trailer below.
An impressive set of talents brings this story to life. Uzo Aduba stars as Cupp, a consulting detective for the Metropolitan Police Department. The fascinating character finds her own Watson in FBI Special Agent Edwin Park, played by Randall Park. Together, this pair of crime solvers will encounter world leaders, dignitaries, White House staff, and a few surprises along the way. Giancarlo Esposito, Edwina Findley, Molly Griggs, Jason Lee, Ken Marino, Al Mitchell, Dan Perrault, Bronson Pinchot, Julieth Restrepo, Mel Rodriguez, Susan Kelechi Watson, Isiah Whitlock Jr., and Mary Wiseman co-star on “The Residence.”
Viewers can also expect numerous guest stars. Netflix has already announced Eliza Coupe, Jane Curtin, Paul Fitzgerald, Barrett Foa, Al Franken, Spencer Garrett, Taran Killam, Julian McMahon, Kylie Minogue, Matt Oberg, and Brett Tucker
