Red Hulk Rumored to “Bearly” Be in ‘Captain America:Brave New World’

Feb 1, 2025

Captain America: Brave New World
has been marketing its entire movie around one main selling point: Harrison Ford’s Red Hulk. While Tim Blake-Nelson was originally believed to be the main villain of the movie, returning to his The Incredible Hulk role of The Leader after 17 years, he has not been seen in any of the movie’s trailers, unlike Ford’s angry red giant. But a new report has suggested those expecting to see a lot of the hyped-up and long-awaited introduction of Thaddeus Ross’s alter-ego could be disappointed by his limited appearance in the movie.
A new rumor shared on X/Twitter by CrypticHD Quality has laid down the very believable claim that there is a reason why Marvel keep using the same several seconds of footage, from the same scenes featuring the character. Because he is “barely” in the movie for any length of time. This follows other reports that Red Hulk will form part of the movie’s finale, and he will be going toe-to-toe with Anthony Mackie’s Captain America in the climax of the story, which will result in around four minutes of screen time.
While this does sound like a big disappointment, it is not exactly unknown for Marvel movie showdowns to be over in less than five minutes. This, then, just makes it sound like the film is conforming to the tried and tested structure of most other MCU films, and the only real issue is Marvel Studios centering their marketing mostly on Ford’s transformation into his Hulk form.
Will ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ Continue Marvel’s 2024 Success?

Deadpool & Wolverine may have given a false idea that the MCU’s woes of 2023 are all in the past. Last summer’s juggernaut was an anomaly in the grander scheme of the franchise’s plans – in several ways – and the future success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will really be gauged on how well Captain America: Brave New World performs this February.
Expectations can be make or break for new movies looking to have a strong run at the box office. Deadpool & Wolverine arrived in cinemas with a sky-high level of anticipation, and it somehow managed to not only meet but, in many ways, surpass it. Captain America: Brave New World has been appearing at the top of several lists of 2025’s most talked about films, and a lot of that comes from the frequent Red Hulk teases seen in the trailers, posters, and merchandising for the movie.

A new wave of wild popcorn buckets has arrived just in time for ‘Captain America: Brave New World.’

Hopefully, the unknowns of Anthony Mackie’s first full appearance as Captain America, including The Leader’s return, the inclusion of Giancarlo Esposito’s Serpent Society antagonist, and that much talked about explanation about what happened to the ocean-breaching body of Celestial, Tiamut, will be enough to deliver an action-packed film that builds to its apparent Red Hulk conclusion. Fans have just three weeks to wait to find out whether Marvel Studios is truly back on the right track with the first of this year’s big MCU movies.
