Series Wraps Up February 13
Feb 4, 2025
“Cobra Kai” is coming to an end, and this month, the Season 6 Part 3 episodes will be dropping on Netflix on February 13. Ahead of that, the streaming giant has unleashed a final trailer (see below) highlighting that last batch of stories within the heightened and rich universe of martial arts schools.
First launched in 1984 with the original “Karate Kid,” the franchise has seen its setting move from California to Okinawa, China, and New York City. The streaming series is spun off those movies and focuses on a group of kids seeking martial arts mentors, some good and some straight-up bullies. There is still also conflict between returning characters Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka).

Of course, the rest of the cast on the show includes Martin Kove, Xolo Maridueña, Jacob Bertrand, Mary Mouser, Tanner Buchanan, Peyton List, Gianni DeCenzo, Courtney Henggeler, Vanessa Rubio, Dallas Dupree Young, Yuji Okumoto, Alicia Hannah-Kim, Griffin Santopietro, and Oona O’Brien.
Netflix also provided us with the synopsis for the final round of “Cobra Kai” episodes:
“After a shocking result in the Sekai Taikai, Miyagi-Do, and Cobra Kai must reckon with their pasts while facing an uncertain future both on and off the mat. Almost 40 years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament, it’s all been leading to this.”

Despite the series endings, this won’t be the end of the “Karate Kid” universe as a crossover film, “Karate Kid: Legends,” is set to be released on May 30 by Sony Pictures. That film will see Jackie Chan, Ben Wang, and longtime franchise star Macchio in the leading roles.
