Jurassic World Rebirth images and a teaser finally reveal the first look at dinosaurs and new characters. Directed by Gareth Edwards (Godzilla, Rogue One), with a script penned by the franchise’s original screenwriter David Koepp, the upcoming film follows a team of operatives on a top-secret mission to extract DNA from dinosaurs, which holds the key to creating a life-saving drug. Jurassic World Rebirth cast includes Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, Rupert Friend, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Luna Blaise, David Iacono, and Ed Skrein.
Now, via Vanity Fair, several images from Jurassic World Rebirth have been released. The photos reveal the first look at dinosaurs in the franchise film, including a T-Rex, along with fresh looks at some of the new characters played by Johansson, Ali, and Bailey. Check out a slideshow of the images below:
In an interview with the publication, producer Frank Marshall also teased that Jurassic World Rebirth will be “dangerous” and “scary” again:
I’ve always said that visual effects are great, CGI is a great tool, but it makes you lazy because you know you can do anything. It’s got to be dangerous. You’re in a new place, you don’t know what’s around the corner. You’ve got a different jungle, you’ve got more water, you’ve got higher cliffs. There’s a little bit of everything that’s scary.
Additionally, Jurassic World’s X account shared a teaser for the trailer coming tomorrow. The short video, captioned “Survival is a long shot,” features Johansson and Ali’s characters looking on in terror at an unseen dinosaur, which lets out a frightening roar:

Marshall also teases how the upcoming Jurassic Park film will bring a feeling of fear and danger back to the franchise. Since dinosaurs no longer inspire the awe they once did, Rebirth has pivoted back to evoking fear, thrusting viewers into an unfamiliar environment filled with danger lurking around every corner. Marshall explains that the film features steep cliffs and expansive water areas. For instance, the images show Zora rappelling down a cliff face and Philippine Velge’s still-unnamed character clinging to a boat railing while being attacked by a Spinosaurus.
Our Take On Jurassic World Rebirth’s Images & Teaser
It’s Bringing Back Fear & Danger
The new images and teaser highlight how Jurassic World Rebirth is bringing a feeling of fear and danger back to the franchise, which is what Steven Spielberg’s classic did so well. The image featuring the “When Dinosaurs Roamed The Earth” banner is a callback to the original film, the familiar banner falling once again, symbolizing the public’s dwindling interest in dinosaurs. In turn, Jurassic World Rebirth is heading in a different direction by bringing back a feeling of fear and danger, which audiences should have a better idea of when the first trailer releases tomorrow.
