Tim Robinson, Sam Richardson, and Chazmo Return for a Hilarious New Super Bowl Ad
Feb 7, 2025
The Super Bowl is the biggest game of the year for the NFL first and foremost — but at the end of the day, the best moments always come from the commercials. This year, expectations are particularly high, since comedic geniuses and real-life besties Tim Robinson and Sam Richardson are teaming up for a Totino’s Pizza Rolls commercial that’s more or less a bonus episode of their iconic sketch show, I Think You Should Leave.
This isn’t the first time that Robinson and Richardson have collaborated with Totino’s. Last year, they worked with I Think You Should Leave director Alice Mathias to create an absurdly hilarious commercial debuting the lovable alien Chazmo in a tongue-in-cheek spoof on a classic ’80s sci-fi movie. Titled “Chazmo Goes Home,” the segment features Robinson and Richardson as suburban dads scolding their free-loading houseguest for eating “like, probably 70 pizza rolls.”
Now, in their Super Bowl sequel, Chazmo returns for a heartfelt farewell that turns shockingly morbid. In a first look at the ad that was released earlier today, Chazmo is depicted saying his final goodbyes when the doors of his spacecraft decide to close just a few seconds too soon. The result is classic I Think You Should Leave chaos, as well as the deadpan humor that Robinson and Richardson are notorious for.
It’s clear that this commercial was a labor of love for the I Think You Should Leave collaborators — who were also joined by Detroiters co-creater and writer Zach Kanin to round out this Marvel-style team-up of comedy superheroes. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Richardson expressed his excitement for the project, stating: “[Tim and I] love working together, and we’re very thankful for them that they gave us a chance to work with each other.”
Chazmo Might be an Early Look at What Viewers Can Expect From ‘I Think You Should Leave’ Season 4
Season four of I Think You Should Leave hasn’t been officially confirmed by Netflix — although Richardson stated in his EW interview that it was definitely happening. However, with the growing recognition and appreciation for Robinson and Richardson’s strange brand of humor, a new installment is almost certainly on the horizon.
I Think You Should Leave is infamous for subverting audiences’ expectations, and the horrifying hijinks in Chazmo’s commercial tell us that Robinson and Richardson have no intention of making predictable comedy. If anything, their style has become even more extreme and outrageous in the months since the release of I Think You Should Leave season three.

I Think You Should Leave: The Best Skits from Season 3, Ranked
Just like the preceding two seasons, season three of I Think You Should Leave continues to lean into its surreal and cringe-worthy delivery.
Given that the show and its creators are so successful, it’s possible that another season of I Think You Should Leave may be able to take advantage of a higher budget. This could mean more elaborate themes, sets, and props — such as the spaceship and alien seen in the Totino’s ad. Many of the series’ most popular sketches take place in very mundane locations, like offices, schools, or homes, but in order to keep new episodes fresh and exciting, a change in scenery may be necessary.
Either way, securing a Super Bowl ad is definitely a good omen for Robinson’s and Richardson’s futures. Agencies and brands pay millions of dollars for their commercials during the Big Game, after all, meaning people must have had lots of faith in the humor that has defined I Think You Should Leave.
