Happy Gilmore 2’s BTS Video Teases How Massive The Cameos Will Be In Adam Sandler’s Highly-Anticipated Sequel
Feb 7, 2025
A new behind-the-scenes video for the upcoming Happy Gilmore 2 teases several of the many cameos to appear in the legacy sequel. The movie will see Adam Sandler donning the iconic Boston Bruins jersey as the titular Happy. In the first movie, he was a failed ice hockey player who found an odd talent for golf, using it to win prize money to help his grandmother get her house back. Happy Gilmore 2 will star Sandler, Christopher McDonald, Julie Bowen, Margaret Qualley, Ben Stiller, Benny Safdie, and Bad Bunny, to name a few.
On X, Netflix posted a video, teasing guest appearances from professional golfers Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, Justin Thomas, and Will Zalatoris. The post also either hints at more cameos to be announced or that there are more unnamed pro golfers in the video. At the end of the post, Ben Stiller, who’s reprising his role as Hal, also appears in the BTS teaser. See it below:
What This Means For Happy Gilmore 2
Happy Might Be Facing Actual Golfers This Time Around
There were several cameos in the original Happy Gilmore, including Stiller, the late Bob Barker as a golfing partner who ends up fighting Happy, the late Richard Kiel, and former pro golfer Lee Trevino. All the cameos added to the film’s comedy and cultural impact, as Happy Gilmore has become a cult hit over the years.

Adam Sandler’s Other 2025 Netflix Movie Is More Exciting Than Happy Gilmore 2 After His 92% RT Hit From 2017
Adam Sandler’s upcoming Happy Gilmore 2 is incredibly exciting, but he has another new movie coming to Netflix that could be just as amazing.
While there was only one pro golfer in the original, that’s changed in the legacy sequel. It’s probably safe to assume thatmost of the pro golfers in the behind-the-scenes video will be Happy’s new opponents, meaning that the titular character has progressed well in his golf career since his last appearance. As for the post teasing more cameos, it’s most likely referring to other pro golfers who weren’t named in the caption, including Bubba Watson, Keegan Bradley, and Rickie Fowler.
Our Take On The Announced Cameos
They Give A Hint At The Plot & The Current Competitive Climate Happy Is In
There has so far been just a teaser trailer for Happy Gilmore 2. However, the movie featuring actual former and pro golfers speaks to where Happy is now in terms of competition. Being paired with such talent in the sport suggests that Happy himself is either among them or is close to reaching that level. It’s also entirely possible for him to be the odd one out. Either trajectory would work well, and we’ll most likely see him and Shooter McGavin (Christopher McDonald) face off in some way in Happy Gilmore 2.
