‘She-Hulk’ Star Tatiana Maslany Addresses Possible ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Appearance
Feb 22, 2025
Daredevil: Born Again is set to debut on Disney+ on Mar. 4, 2025, and fans are excited to see the Man Without Fear’s story continue after his original series, Daredevil, was canceled on Netflix in 2018. Now that Charlie Cox and the Daredevil cast are transitioning over to Disney+, fans are excited about more potential crossovers with beloved characters, including a possible reunion with She-Hulk, played by Tatiana Maslany.
Despite the initial series ending seven years ago, fans have had no shortage of Charlie Cox as Daredevil with appearances in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Echo, and, more recently, as a variant in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. Daredevil’s biggest role in the MCU to date was in the 2022 series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, where he teamed up with fellow lawyer/superhero Jennifer Walters, a.k.a. She-Hulk, played by Emmy-winner Tatiana Maslany.
Speaking with Screen Rant’s Tessa Smith at the premiere of her latest film, The Monkey, Tatiana Maslany commented on possibly appearing alongside Daredevil in Daredevil: Born Again:
“I mean, absolutely, he was so great. He was so fun, like a really fun person to play with. And I think what he did so well was take a character that exists in a different tone and totally adapt him for this new tone, while still maintaining the integrity of the character, which is actually very funny, then. To see him collide with this sort of goofier world.”
Just as She-Hulk: Attorney at Law brought Daredevil into a more lighthearted comedic series, Maslany wants to see She-Hulk in a more dramatic light in Daredevil: Born Again. “I have a serious, well, I have a lot of serious bones in my body,” said Maslany.
Maslany and She-Hulk fans may want her character to appear in Daredevil: Born Again, but that is off the table for Season 1. Despite Daredevil being last seen as Jennifer’s date at her family BBQ in the season finale of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, the creators of Daredevil: Born Again have already said the series won’t touch upon the events of that series. Yet the series’ two connections are firmly established, as the yellow-and-red costume he wore in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law can be seen in the trailer for Born Again. If She-Hulk does appear, it would likely be in Season 2.
She-Hulk Could Help Solve Some of Marvel’s Recent Headaches
A common critique of the MCU in Phases 4 and 5 is a lack of interconnectivity between projects, without a strong core group of characters to latch onto. So far, the most prominent MCU character is Daredevil, who has made a steady handful of appearances throughout the Multiverse Saga. She-Hulk herself is a great character who could feasibly become a lynchpin for many elements of the MCU, since her status as one of the few lawyers specializing in superhero law makes her a prime candidate to pop in and out of many stories. It certainly felt like a glaring omission to exclude She-Hulk from Captain America: Brave New World, given that it was essentially an Incredible Hulk sequel, and she could have been brought in as a lawyer representing the imprisoned Isaiah Bradley.

No Tatiana Maslany Is Not Suing Disney for Deadpool & Wolverine So Stop Freaking Out
The rumors about She-Hulk’s Tatiana Maslany and Deadpool & Wolverine have gone way too far.
Jennifer Walters and her She-Hulk alter ego should probably be added to Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, as the fun of these different series is in seeing these characters in different genres. It would be interesting to get new insight into Jennifer Walters in a story with a more dramatic setting, the same way audiences saw how well Daredevil fit in a lighter series. With She-Hulk and Daredevil having a pre-established relationship within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, these two characters’ dynamics could become a new pillar of the MCU, like Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff, or Bruce Banner and Tony Stark. Hopefully, Marvel Studios hasn’t forgotten about She-Hulk – at least someone there has to be smart enough to know that much of the negative reaction to her Disney+ series was created in bad faith as part of a targeted harassment campaign.
