Apple TV+’s ‘Mythic Quest’ Expansion Anthology Series Debuts On March 26

Mar 1, 2025

Apple TV+ is growing its “Mythic Quest” universe with a new expansion series, “Side Quest,” as the acclaimed video game studio office sitcom will see a four-episode anthology spinoff that debuts alongside the season four finale of “Mythic Quest” next month.
If you’re unfamiliar with the show, “Mythic Quest” follows a fictional video game studio’s hilarious and quirky office dynamics, and “Side Quest” will see new and returning characters from that comedic universe. A “side quest” tends to be a role-playing game term for going on a smaller mission beyond the mainline story, and players tend to be rewarded for taking a chance on those adventures.

The cast assembled for the comedic spinoff show includes Rob McElhenney (“It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia”), Anna Konkle (“The Afterparty,” “Pen15”), Derek Waters (“Drunk History”), William Stanford Davis (“Abbott Elementary”), Bria Samoné Henderson (“The Good Doctor”), Rome Flynn (“Raising Dion”), Leonard Robinson (“Insecure”), Gary Kraus (“Barry”), Annamarie Kasper (“Good Trouble”), Esai Morales (“Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning”), Shalita Grant (“Search Party”), and many more.
An official logline for “Side Quest” via Apple reads:
Go deeper into the “Mythic Quest” universe in these four standalone stories. Follow the lives of players, comic book shop owners, touring orchestra musicians, and members of the art department as they search for community, success, and love.
“Side Quest” was developed by and executive produced by Ashly Burch, John Howell Harris, and Katie McElhenney. Streaming on Apple TV+, the show hails from Lionsgate, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Ubisoft with Megan Ganz, McElhenney, David Hornsby, Charlie Day, Todd Biermann, Nick Frenkel, Michael Rotenberg, Margaret Boykin and Genevieve Jones also serving as executive producers.
