Kevin Bacon Raises Hell As Resurrected Bounty Hunter In Amazon’s Comedic Horror Series Coming April 3
Mar 4, 2025
Actor Kevin Bacon is cooked in “The Bondsman,” the beloved actor is leading a new Blumhouse Television and Amazon Prime Video comedic horror series streaming next month as the streamer dropped a trailer. We’ll see Bacon play a murdered bounty hunter, Hub Halloran, after he is murdered and then resurrected with the help of The Devil as he’s now tasked to chase down demons.
Joining Bacon on the show features a supporting cast that includes Jennifer Nettles (“The Righteous Gemstones,” “The Exorcist”), Damon Herriman (“Mr. In Between,” “Justified”), Beth Grant (“No Country For Old Men”), Maxwell Jenkins (“Lost In Space”), and Jolene Purdy (“The White Lotus”).

Previously the showrunner of “Carnival Row” and the Netflix era of “Daredevil,” Erik Oleson is the showrunner of “The Bondsman.” He is part of a producing team that consists of Bacon, Jason Blum, Jeremy Gold, Chris Dickie, Chris McCumber Bacon, Paul E. Shapiro, and series Grainger David created the series. Erik Holmberg serves as co-executive producer.
The official logline for “The Bondsman” from Prime Video reads:
Kevin Bacon stars as Hub Halloran, a murdered bounty hunter, who’s back from the dead after being resurrected by the Devil to trap and send back demons that have escaped from the prison of Hell. By chasing down those demons, with the help and hindrance of his estranged family, Hub learns how his own sins got his soul condemned — which pushes him to seek a second chance at life, love, and country music.
This sounds like an action-horror concept that mirrors things like “R.I.P.D.” except we’ll see Bacon working for the other side of the pearly gates but seems like a much grittier and violent take on the concept closer to something like “Spawn,” minus the comic book costume.
