Netflix‘s international lineup of original films and television shows has been increasingly impressive as their growth in Asian markets with a slew of projects from Japan and South Korea have allowed for some extremely entertaining genre efforts, “Squid Games” becoming one of the biggest phenomena on the service. With more foreign-language projects on the horizon, the streamer has dropped a trailer for their upcoming South Korean thriller series, “Karma,” which features a cast member from the aforementioned “Squid Games.”
The new series “Karma” sees an assembled group of six characters thrust into a thrilling story that features a murder plot, but when there are so many moving parts and people involved there is bound to be trouble and potentially deadly consequences.

It is based on the Kakao webtoon “Karma” and Lee Il-hyung (“A Violent Prosecutor”) will write/direct the adaptation with a cast that includes actors Park Hae-soo (“Squid Game,” “Narco-Saints”), Shin Min-a (“Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha,” “Our Blues”), Lee Hee-jun (“A Killer Paradox”), Kim Sung-kyun (“Officer Black Belt,” “D.P.”), Lee Kwang-soo (“Sinkhole,” “The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure”), and Gong Seung-yeon (“The First Responders”).
Hailing Kakao Entertainment, Baram Pictures, and Moonlight Film, “Karma” has an official synopsis via Netflix that reads:
A hit-and-run. A cover-up. A debt-fueled murder plot. Karma weaves together the fates of six characters, each bound by a single, irreversible moment. The series stars “Squid Game”‘s Park Hae-soo as the Witness, Shin Min-a as Ju-yeon, Lee Hee-jun as the Debtor, Kim Sung-kyun as Gil-ryong, Lee Kwang-soo as Glasses, and Gong Seung-yeon as Yu-jeong — each caught in a web of choices that refuses to be buried.
