April is a significant month for returning TV favorites, and some new, enticing shows are also popping up. But it’s the returning series that dominates the conversation. From action tentpole dramas such as the critically acclaimed “Star Wars” series “Andor,” to the post-apocalyptic “The Last of Us,” or the dystopian series “The Handmaid’s Tale,” there’s no shortage of big-name dramas on the docket.

But there’s also some smaller, more niche fare, such as the similarly critically acclaimed “comedy” “The Rehearsal” from the always unexpected Nathan Fielder. While other popular series reach their season finales, such as “The White Lotus” and “The Pitt,” the April lineup promises more weekly dramas and comedies to help fill in the blanks.
