Guerdy is reevaluating RHOM friendships, preferring truth to scripted interactions.
Cancer’s a beast — but Guerdy Abraira is tougher. And while she quietly fought the disease, another storm was brewing, one she never saw coming. In an interview with Collider, Guerdy reveals that the support she received from The Real Housewives of Miami cast last season has all but vanished. As she steps into what she calls her most eye-opening season yet, she notes that the time between filming Seasons 6 and 7 gave certain cast members space to stir the pot and cook up storylines off camera. So when production finally picked up cameras, she says she was “just blindsided coming in. And I think that some people came with a script.” She reflects on how most of the cast supported her during her breast cancer battle last season, but says, “the lenses came up and so did their script, or I guess their storyline that they had been waiting to hatch all nine months.”

Friendship evolutions were “very very scary.”
The friendship shift was jarring, she says. “It has been very, very scary in a way to see that evolution of some friendships that have dissolved because it is just too calculated for me to even deal with. I’m dealing with real life shit, and I’m just hit with other bs, so you’ll see me deal with it and bad girl Gigi comes out, and she has to show people how to treat her, and that’s that.” She reflected on a Zoom call organized by Julia Lemigova, where Julia and her wife, Martina Navratilova, announced they had adopted two boys. In an exclusive episode clip shared with Collider, Julia mentions that while everyone initially joined the call, Guerdy quickly dropped off. Guerdy later claimed she didn’t have the correct link, but followed up with what Julia described as a “cold” congratulatory message. Guerdy maintains that there are two sides to the story.

‘RHOM’ just lost its coolest cast member.
”You’ll see how it all evolves,” Guerdy teases. “It’s just a lot of nuances to this story, but I promise you the truth will always come out. I’m just coming out of two reconstructive surgeries back into the group, so I have no time to calculate and to create drama because I’m dealing with my life. And so the people who do have the time on their hands are the ones that are literally sitting on the drama, like egg hatching, and they’re waiting for the lenses to come back up and boom, here it goes! ‘Gertie is missing on the Zoom, and Gertie is not a friend’ and I’m not a safe space. So you’ll see all that unfold.”
Guerdy Is “Reevaluating” Her ‘RHOM’ Friendships This Season
“My eyes are wide open.”
Despite last season, when the cast seemingly rallied around Guerdy during her cancer diagnosis, she says this time around that support waned. “ I don’t expect anyone to have my back; the dynamic shifts all the time. And so this season, honestly, I am reevaluating just the group overall. And honestly, I’d rather stand alone in truth than to be in the chat with the script.” She actually returned wanting a fresh fun season, especially after facing so much darkness last season. But something has definitely shifted within the group. ”And so I’m over here like this, waving like, ‘Hey guys. Oh my God. Hi!’ And I do extend the olive branch. I’m making the calls: ‘Let’s get together.’ And then we air, and it’s a completely different reception, so it’s disappointing, but it’s revealing, and it is just literally therapeutic, actually. And you’ll see how this whole thing becomes the biggest blessing for me in the end, because my eyes are wide open.” The Real Housewives of Miami Season 7 premieres on Wednesday, June 11 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
